Ingredients

Bulgogi Sauce

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp + 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp ginger (minced)
  • 1 tsp garlic (minced)

Ground Beef

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ yellow onion (diced)

Toppings

  • 1 tbsp scallion (diced)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 4 large soft boiled eggs

Instructions

Prepare the meatballs before making the sauce.

  1. In a medium bowl combine the ingredients for the bulgogi sauce.
  2. Mix well to combine and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef and onion and cook until browned (about 5 minutes). The meat will still be a little pink.
  4. Add the bulgogi sauce and mix well.
  5. Simmer for 6–10 more minutes, and remove from heat.
  6. Serve on top of rice.
  7. Top with scallions, toasted sesame seeds, and a soft boiled egg.
